What do people say about Mary Padua

Posted by marypadua at 11:17 PM on April 8, 2007.

Happy Easter to all of you! We have just commemorated the most venerated week of the Christians and now, we celebrate the rising of our Lord, Jesus Christ, which amplifies God's acceptance of our Lord's sacrifice, his life for our salvation.

By the way, I wrote this blog about what people say about me. It started with a simple forwarded text message, asking for a description in only one word. I do it, so that you will know more about me. By the way, their replies are unedited.

             "Polite" - Kuya Ray Pine

             "Cute...U" - Ate Alisa Longalong

              "Friendly" - Marianne Carmel Agunoy

              "NapakaBAIT" - Fr. Elmer Villamayor

Honestly, I was overwhelmed by their replies. On my part, I will continue to bear those characteristics that my friends used to describe me. Ciao friends!

My action Monday

Posted by marypadua at 12:18 PM on March 19, 2007.

This day seems to be moody. Earlier in the morning, I almost lost my cellphone. My father and mother send me and my sister at school. We are studying at the same school but different campuses. So, she is the first one to arrive because her campus is nearer than mine.

She sits on the back of our vehicle and I sit in front of it. So, when she arrived at the school, I need to go out of it so that she can go out freely. I ride back at the vehicle, unnoticing that my phone drops at the floor.

After that, we go to the gasoline station to refuel our vehicle. I saw a tarpauline advertising a unlimited texting service. Then, my mother told me to get the website written on it. When I was to get my phone, I realized that it wasn't there! Oh my!

Luckily, my father and mother are on their good moods. We went back to the place where we last stopped and then my father saw the phone under a car. I'm still fortunate because my father found it and he even uses a rake-like material to get it out there.

I know it was an accident and I never knew my phone wasn't there.

Now, I'm in our school cyber nook with friends. I now fine.

GENEROSITY in our lives

Posted by marypadua at 07:31 PM on March 10, 2007.

"Whatever you have done to the least of my brethrens, you have done it to me," thus expresed a verse from the Bible. As  a Catholic, whatever we do to even the poorest of the poor is what we do to the Lord.

We are asked to ponder out what is generosity. Honestly, my first concept of it is unconditional giving. It means to say that we sahre whatever we have to our fellows whoever or whatever his personality is. It is conventional that people think of generosity as giving earthly materials. On the same time, it is a petty misconception.

YES, would say that there are many things that could manifest generosity but, those can be tangible. But is that for real in the inner side of ourselves?

GENEROSITY amplifies a side of our existence here. As you ponder like I do, it is true.

I think that offering our own prayers is a good manifestation of Generosity.

As I think further, Generosity's essence is giving my self for others, extending my helping hands for them and so on.

Have you ever think that Generosity is a point of love? It is not an act by force, but a charitable one that truly shows my truest point of concern and love for others. It is also being there when someone needs me the most. A good example that I know is the lady in the Bible who gave her last two pieces of coins as an offering. It is more valuable than the rich and affluent who gave more earthly offerings. Why? It is because the woman needs that two pieces of money the most for her survival and nevertheless gave it as an offering.  Generosity is also sacrifice.

In our everyday lives, the most generous people I can say are our parents and our teachers. They could give more than money can provide but their unending love, support, and understanding.

The word Generosity may be simple but as I go further, I think that Generosity has an ample essence. Generosity is unconditional giving and rendering our lives, service, sacrifices and selves for the sake of the needy.

What do you think of Generosity? I am hoping for your responses.

GRADUATION... A New Beginning From an End

Posted by marypadua at 05:51 PM on March 10, 2007.

This blog is dedicated to my graduating friends.

Ends don't start from nothing. There wouldn't be no ends if there's no starting point. If there's beginning, there's an end.

Graduating is not a full accomplishment yet. You have just completed the prescribed academic or professional requirements of your course. You are not yet successful to the extent, unless you prove you are. Studying is no fairy tale. It would never have a happy ending if you don't wore it that way.

During the commencement exercises, diplomas and awards were given to signify a person's holding of a good accomplishment. In it is an acquirement that tends to equip you with something that you will need at the beginning of the new venture in the professional world in the near future.

Your worth as a person would greatly depend on how you strive after graduation. The competition is tough, no one would help you get to unless you push yourself up. It's one of life's ironies that should serve as challenge rather than an obstacle in attaining your dreams and goals.

A bright future is ahead of you. Finishing your studies was like a night's sleep where you need to wake up to the dawn of a new life leading to the realization of your goals.

If graduation is an end, so it be. It would literally contribute joyful memories which would add to the treasures you have. The things of having graduated are more than money could ever provide. Certainly, it would be hard to be parted from friends whom you had been with for several years. (I will also feel the same when you completely graduated from being an HS student.)

It could be a lonesome scene, but it would be the offset of the fulfillment of your dreams and the beginning of a richer, better, fruitful and substantial life.

As to my graduating friends, you go guys! Life may have its ups and downs but always pursue the best.  As students,  whenever life drops needles and pins along your path in life, don't stay away...instead pick them up and collect them, so that the same pins and needles won't hurt you again as challenges or problems do. God bless you!

A typical topic on a typical day

Posted by marypadua at 11:30 PM on March 5, 2007.

Before, I used to be a carefree child. Enjoying and taking my time, I never thought of many things. Before, my life was simple and it's never been complicated.

And now, I am in front of it, witnessing my High School life. As I am writing this, allow me to inform you that I am hectically doing my requirements. I though of these things as a good another blog to post.

As I said before, I am now taking my High School life. My life before was as easy as 1+1. But now, Oh, look at the piles of things that we are tasked to do. Those are our school requirements. Almost everyday, we are dumped with tasks. But I always think of it as the elementary of High School life. We need to pass a requirment on this day, on that day and so forth. Now, I realize that big changes are just starting. I feel exhausted everyday. I feel very tired. Really TIRED. Aside from that, some of it needs to be computerized. It's more portable than others but, you know, I feel that eThrombosis will hunt me and my colleagues at time.  My only comfort during my pc works is music. But, if I hear no music while doing these whity-collar things, I feel the world is upon my back because of that exhausting feeling.

Although I become more creative in writing in computers, I feel am having a brain-drain. If you could only see me right now, I am having bulging eyebags.

Lo, still, on my mind, that's a part of being a High School learner. Not to mention, I am included in the honor rolls and it is our responsibility to do requirements. Now, I can feel the feelings of my friends in the fourth year. They are almost dying doing a lot of things.

Until next time friends, this is the temporary end of my typical topic on a typical day. Ciao!
